Soon, the "On Air" sign will light up above Eagan's very own public television studio.
Toward the end of the month, Eagan's new studio at the Thomson Reuters business campus will be fully operational. For one longtime volunteer, the grand opening that's scheduled for Feb. 25 can't come soon enough.
"I like it so far," said Bob Cooper of the new studio. "It's just too bad that they can't get the equipment in there sooner."
Cooper started volunteering for Burnsville-Eagan Community Television (BECT) in the early 1980s and now he's looking forward to ushering in Eagan's own operation, as the cities parted ways with each other at the end of the year, ending a 25-year partnership.
