@LAVATORR If you were having a seizure for 10+ minutes and screaming in pain, then I can't imagine rectal gel that could immediately stop the seizure would seem so funny. Were you just randomly searching for rectal gel on youtube or something? 'Cause that's pretty weird...

@samisyosam I am a caregiver for someone who uses diastat and she has had it adminstered in many of the places you have listed. When it needs to be administered in a public place, I would obviously cover her with a coat or a blanket and ask people to give us some privacy. I can't imagine there would be many circumstances where you would be capable of administering this to yourself when you really needed it unless you're using it for something other than stopping seizures..

kling soweit alles wunderbar.. leider ist aber auch diazepam keine garantie für das durchbrechen eines krampfes.. habe des öfteren vernommen, dass es nicht geholfen hat.

i hope you know that you are not supposed to do it on your own because you simply connot during having a seizure. so it can only be applied by a person who is with you and knows about the whole thing.. i can imagine that it is not the most comfortable thing but if it happens you don't really think about trivial stuff like the fact that there are a bunch of people around you.. you just help. beside that diazepam works faster and more intensely than tablets.

So basically this product is safe to use as long as the sufferer is not on the bus, in an elevator, at the theater, in a car, at work, on the street, in a park, near a daycare, in a grocery store or basically ANY PUBLIC PLACE WHERE I CAN'T TAKE OFF MY PANTS AND INSERT THINGS INTO MY RECTUM.
