Bulleh Shah composed this poetry at the return of his spiritual teacher Inayat Shah. This famous Punjabi composition is now also found in a bollywood movie, although with a different interpretation/subject matter.

Riyaaz Qawwali presents 'Mera Piya Ghar Aaya' with some new poetry and different girah bandis (repetitive melodic emphasis), while keeping true to the poem's original meaning.
