While KingdomCarts prep up his strategy for Soda Popinski, I've decided to continue onwards with this in the hopes that I can conquer the World Circuit and the Dream Fight against Iron Mike. This here we'll be covering is a unique trick that when possible can send this soda-drinking spudbutt to the mat faster than you can say Ginger Ale... we'll be relying on the Soda Squat Gutter or SSG.
The Soda Squat Gutter is exclusive to this fight because its the only way possible to send him to the mat. Here's how to do it. After he throw his 2 hooks, hold down for a bit to block and that will confuse Soda into prepping for an uppercut. If you don't know that, then as soon as he squatting, pull a body blow on him. If you are lucky, you can get a star and if you do it again when he tries to prep up his 2nd uppercut, you can throw a body blow to get another star. But you don't really need to know that right? You should because here's a way you can take this douchebag down in less than a minute so let's get started.
Phase 1 - For the whole fight, we'll rely on the A button so keep it ready at all times. As soon as he gets ready for his hook, you can pull 2 body blows. He'll block them but you know he won't use them. You can even try to pull two right jabs to at least get a star or two but for consistency's sake, just throw 2 body blows. Then after the 2 body blows or jabs, hold down. If he goes at his hooks again, start over because there is no room for error here. As you hold down, he'll squat and think to prep up an uppercut. As soon as you see that, let go and throw the Soda Squat Gutter to get a star. Then quick dodge and throw an unstunned uppercut for knockdown #1 and you'll get him down at :18 to :22.
Phase 2 - He gets up on either 3, 4, 5 or 8 and that means you must repeat the same strategy. Throw 2 right body blows which will make him block. Next hold down so he can prep up to squat again. Do the Soda Squat Gutter again. You may not get this star but if you already have one, quick dodge his second uppercut and throw an unstunned uppercut. If you have none, do the same thing again so you can get a star and THEN throw an unstunned uppercut. You'll get him down at a time between :38 to :41.
Phase 3 - No time for messups here. This one is tricky because you can't throw an unstunned uppercut when he does his own. He'll dodge it and that can be a big waste. Throw two body blows so he'll block them and that way he won't do the hooks. Next hold down so he can squat again and then do the SSG again. He may or may not give up a star so just in case hold down again so he'll squat and then do the SSG. But this is where the turning point again. If you already have a star, wait till he throws his 2nd uppercut. DO NOT DO AN UNSTUNNED UPPERCUT because he'll dodge it and you'll waste a lot of time. After he does his 2nd uppercut, he'll prep up a hook. Throw an unstunned uppercut before he preps up his hook and you'll get him down for the TKO.
Remember this... if he EVER sets up another set of hooks, start over because if you want to take him down in at least under a minute you need to rely on this strategy.
The first time I did this, I got him down at 1:03 but this is much better because I got him at 1:00.48 and that rocked.
I sure hope KingdomCarts comes up with a plan to take down this soda drinking scumbucket so if you read this, I'll be waiting.
Remember that for all info regarding Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, please check out KingdomCarts' Youtube page. You won't be disappointed.
Here's a tip: If you throw a right jab intercept when he's about to do his hook, you'll get a star. You can get up to 2 stars this way and that can make things easier but remember, if at anytime he preps up another set of hooks, you have to start over. If you want to get this guy down in under a minute, this strategy will help put this guy down to the drink.

He's actually not that difficult.
It takes a lot of practice so if I were you, practice AS MUCH AS possible on this guy. It took me a lot of work and it was no joke.
