"iie" means "no" right? you had it say "it's ok".

In that case, it was used to mean "No [it's ok]". Most japanese is context-specific, so there are a lot of omissions.

@Veganeggroll well, if you wanna say "it's okay' you can say "daijoubu desu. but "iie" is works too. it really depends on the situation.

Haha, I am learning Japanese at university and we actually have one hour a week of watching these videos of "Yan and the Japanese people" and we learn from those :D

@RainbowPens thats good to know^^ im going next summer. but may I ask. How much money would you say is enough for a 3-4 weeks trip? it would be a nice hotel in Tokyo and backpacking the rest of the trip. I was guessing with 15.000 - 20.000 USD is that ok?

@Emu1gmx Japan is amazing I'm really glad I went! Don't worry; even if you go without knowing perfect Japanese, many people know English (At least the basics)!
