A music video I made (unofficial) for the song "Banshee Beat" by Animal Collective.
This video has an interesting history. Back in September (2008), I downloaded a leaked copy of the film, The Go-Getter (imdb.com/title/tt0479289/). I had already pre-ordered the DVD, but was interested in checking it out a month or so early.
The film is overall a disappointment. I assumed the uninteresting and threadbare plot would be saved by its being a road movie, but the movie lacked the deep road ramblings I was expecting. Instead, it was just shallow, pseudo metaphysical garbage.
But the photography and editing... it's as if I did it. The whole thing plays out like I was the director of photography and editor but working with a writer/director who couldn't write himself out of a paper bag.
For that reason, the connection isn't exactly flattering I suppose, but it was fascinating to watch it from that perspective.
The opening scene features a snippet of this song, Banshee Beat--not much, but enough to leave a impression on me. I sought the song out, and I realized that the way writer/director Martin Hynes utilizes it in the movie is very similar to the way I would utilize it in one of my works, had I not even seen The Go-Getter. Of course, I did see The Go-Getter first, but I still get the eerie vibe that I would have done something similar.
Realizing that my vision is still different enough to hold merit, I went ahead and made it.
Whoa, thanks everyone! I'm glad you all enjoyed it. :)

@americannable Really? Is that a joke, or are you sincere? Whatever the case, I regret not taking more time to color correct the video. Granted, I had the cheap version of my editing software then and didn't have a ton of options. Still...

@americannable Haha, no need to apologize. I find it pretty funny actually; sarcasm is just so hard to express or receive properly on the Internet.
