it doesn't matter what it is called... but it is only illegal if you are up in a stunt and then change feet without doing it in a pyramid (aka cannot be done unless in pyramid) but it is legal to do it on the way up.... and i'm not sure if you have tried to do it before but it is a lot more difficult to do than a tick tock.
@dancerchic29063 Ah, no sorry, I didn't mean to imply that. I was just correcting "standthroughthepain." I really liked the routine and I think DF should be proud for being able to do those stunts. I haven't seen too many high school teams do them (at least in the northeast where I'm from)
@dancerchic29063 I didn't say it was legal in high school, it is however legal in certain all star levels and college. I just said that an express up/switch up isdifferent than a tik tok
No, it's not. A tick tock starts in a lib (or stretch or whatever) at the top and switches to opposite lib, stretch, whatever at the top. If it switches on the way up, it's not a tick tok, it's an express up. Much less difficult.
i feel the same...but i still feel strongly about there being a judge issue considering there was a judge on the panel that teaches at Irmo high which is dutch fork's rival....not saying an adult would result to such pettiness but it seems unfair to me. just my opinion. I still think ALL squads at state were amazing.!! 4a had a lot of competition this year....and i think everyone did their best and left it on the mat.!!! :)
well the flyer on the far right was put one week before state so she had to learn everything and it takes a while to be able to do a tick tock. if you were watching it live, ONCE you would not be able to tell. i think it was a great routine and should've gotten a much better placing.
