He proves that criminalizing violations of personal, property and civil rights are obviously not enough for him. Using government force, he wants to dictate your morality. His actions don't lie. He wants a powerful, heavy-handed central government. Enough info. Next candidate.

I am a libertarian who favors drug decriminalization, but some of you purists who make Pawlenty out to be some kind of "totalitarian socialist" for his status quo position on illegal drugs need a reality check. Is he profoundly misguided? Yes. Is he a whore for big government and a contemptible enemy of the cause of freedom? Uh, no. It's more likely that he and MN law enforcement--like most of us did at one time--fears society will become more dangerous. He's wrong, but I'm at least sympathetic.
