The notion that the economy crashed because of the enormous amount of money we are putting into the war IS partially true...there are other factors, but spending the enormous amount on the war that we have been does NOT help. Hopefully, Barack, if elected will draw down the war and return this portion of the bottom line towards the benefit of Americans...with the economy crashing, we most certainly need it...

You know...I'm all for world aid...but to be real, I personally think that USA should close the support of others one year (except for an extreme natural disaster case) and use the money to shore up our own ends and make ourselves stronger. Then we'd be in a better position to help those in need...

Nice fuzzy feelings, but I have researched the word of God for 30 + years .. There is nothing that states a man sharing his wage with others outside of giving to the poor, but even then, its a free choice of the man giving, not forced to give.. The Judgment of that man and his giving is of God, not of men.. God has always blessed a man in measure by his deeds. For one to oversee the blessings of God is to play God! It would bring a curse on the Nation!

As somebody who has served in the military, I can assure you that the vast majority of positions people serve in do next to nothing to prepare them for the job of being commander in chief.

If you were a major or above, alright, you might have a claim. If you were a general like Eisenhower, that's a big boon in your favour. But simple, low ranking service does nothing but build character, which is something other ways are just as good at.
