  • The point is; do you (dare to) trust a robot? Robots getting more and more responsabillity in day life. Fly by wire is used in F16's, but also in new cars. Drive by wire. If the computer or "robot" fails, you are out of control. This object is getting one step further. You aren't in control, the robot is. It isn't playing with your life yet, but it is playing with your fingers. If you don't trust this machine, do you trust a robot controlled passenger plane in the near future?

  • thank you.

Even with AI there is no intention.

Eg: An neural network is trained to recognise patterns from an given input and then give an trained output. Unless you train it to do nasty stuff, like slashing black hands.

The training could be faulty. Still there is no intention; it follows human flawed instructions, encoded in the network.

I would put my hand under the thing, if it is programmed correct. Humans can malfunction too, especially the ones with a fascination for knives.

Even with AI there is no gain. Eg: An neural network is trained to recognize patterns from an given input and then give an trained output. Unless you train it to do nasty stuff, like butchering only black hands, it won't do anything to unregular. Of course the training could be faulty, then you are fucked. But even then there is no intention and thus no gain.

It still follows instructions, encoded in the network.

  • Ok, with today's medical technology, it's doubtful you'd even lose the finger completely, and that's IF the bot can somehow get the blade sideways.

Also, what would the robot gain by taking off your finger, or somehow killing you? No he's not going to be the first to be killed by A.I. This isn't even actual A.I., it's more like... I don't know that it's even simulated intelligence. :\

I liked the show of programming though, wonderful.

  • how many ppl have put their hands on this???

  • you could be the first one killed by AI ever in human history

  • I hope you build this thing with the same thoughts as I had when I first saw this?

  • shure wouldn't trust that machine...

  • That was wild!
