somebody at work, probably some xian ahole, stole my copy of THE SATANIC BIBLE... i even tried to sell them at work... thats a long story - a 1st amendment case... the ACLU wouldn't take it... as a fed, and having a government job, i've gotten tired of them plugging bible crap - a clear violation... so i tried to sell satanic bibles as per a flyer posted, but the plant manager asshole wouldn't do it... my EEOC and EEO (two versions of equal employment opportunity act...) didn't do crap

Indeed, however I've always said that you dont need to drop your belief in the afterlife when you drop religion. The god of the bible/torah/quran is one of thousands of divine beings we have created. The key is to adopt a divine being that conforms to our nature as human beings. LaVey's "Satan" is the closest one I've seen to this end. Lucifer being THE ideal one, as he glorifies our nature, and does not go against it or the individual will of man.

FEAR IS VICTORY'S FUEL, but not so in religion's case? I've suffered a weakness of being a "hopeful atheist", wishing for eternal salvation in some form, but not really believing it... western civ. monotheism is a huge step backwards for human progress/evolution, we agree.

It was refreshing to find out that THE CHURCH OF SATAN is really atheistic and that their ritual and DARK FORCE OF NATURE is not some silly personalized devil as described in the bible, but more of what powers you can have

science and its claims are far less than those of religion... who wants to die for some physics formula or fact of the universe in its cold calculating way... but to die for 72 virgins or YOUR particular brand of personal salvation, now that sounds worthy doesn't it?

Science is an extension of the human potential and bodies of intelligence. Science is soon to become the new religion and this is why Religions have sought to eradicate it, for power.

And no, haha, I'm sure there wont be "popes of science" as science does not revolve around characters or myths.

The only difference being the Abrahamic religions thrive on a sense of egalitarian theocratic nature. Luciferian takes a humanitarian "man first" approach, with which we hope to usher the worthy members of mankind to a new Golden Age of enlightenment.
