Johnny Paycheck singing backup and playing bass with George Jones doing "Things Have Gone To Pieces" from a VHS tape of the 1965 film "Forty Acre Feud". Also see my upload of "The Love Bug" from the same film.

  • Thanks bulbheadmyass. Yes, you can definitely hear Paycheck's influence on Jones' vocal style starting in the period when they worked together.

  • Donald E. Lytle, singing the fire out of this song with King George and a young and hungry Hal Rugg wringing out that Pedal Steel, and blind Texan Leon Payne wrote a George Jones classic here, and the rock and roll trash in Trashville just wish they could sing one tenth this good, maybe another smoke bomb, and some more flashing lights and another 20 fireworks will cover up the fact they can't sing, but I doubt it, no we'll have to live through the vomit spewed forth from Trashville todsy.

  • a couple a good ole bad ole boys! love em!

  • george jones once said ''SOMEBODY STOP ME'' i am gonna bone that little miss carrey

  • Yeah Jim Carey and Kevin Bacon should be in a movie about George with Jim being George and Kevin being a young Johhny Paycheck

  • Anybody else notice Jones striking resemblance to Jim Carrey in this video? If you think I am kidding, go watch a clip from the movie "Me, Myself, and Irene" and then come back and watch this video again... I wonder if Jim Carrey's mom was a George Jones groupy in the early 60's??? LOL

  • hey its really great to see people saying/posting stuff about paycheck, gawd I loved his voice.. his songs.. his spirit he was da man!

  • he is the best

  • thats about the time folks ole george had a talk with paycheck headed out on his own. tho they shared laughs and fights through out there careers' johnny thought the world of george and i guess in the end'' george thought alot about donny.

  • Thanks for posting this vid. Can't say enough. This was a REALLY strong and furtile period in G's musical carrer. To finally see a clip of "THGTP" with Johnny Paycheck singing and performing SO beautifully and naturally with George is simply amazing. Makes me want to say please don't play A-11. Awesome. Thank you.
