Can you tint both tail and headlights with 5% tint? Will light still go through?

Ive had smoked tinted tailights using TINT FILM and let me tell you they DO NOT COME OFF by themselves that is. Not even a slight peel after 2 years!! and i installed myself with a blowdrier in my garage.

@billyvesar he is not running the knife on the lens, but the little gap between the tail light and the bodywork around it.

If you touch the lens of the light, yes it will be scratched.
