Monday Night ForePlays: SummHER Lovin - June 2010

PianoFight's comedic league of ladies, Monday Night ForePlays, premieres "SummHER Lovin'" in June

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- May 25, 2010 -- Uniting the smartest, funniest, hottest female talent of the Bay Area, Pianofight's Monday Night ForePlays is back for the fifth all-new installment of their female-driven variety show, "SummHER Lovin'." After sold out runs November through April, ForePlays continues to provide female actors, musicians, dancers and comedians with a constant platform to showcase new material. There will be four opportunities to catch the June show, "SummHER Lovin'," which premieres June 7 at 8pm, and runs every Monday evening through June 28 in Studio250 at Off-Market, located at 965 Mission Street between 5th Street and 6th Street. Monday Night ForePlays is a "one stop shop" for laugh-out-loud "SHEketch" comedy that ranges from the relatable to the ridiculous (and is sometimes ridiculously relatable). As always, the show is written, directed and produced by an all-star group of ladies, and joining the crew this month as a guest writer and director is Kelly Anneken from "Hobo Pancakes." Additionally, ForePlays is excited to welcome a rotating line-up of variety acts including musical guests Rainbow Chair and Ziva, as well as comedians Janine Brito and Emily Heller (who won first and second places at the 2009 San Francisco Women's Comedy Competition, respectively).

Initially conceived as a vehicle to premiere sketch comedy written by women, Monday Night ForePlays has grown into a regular gig that brings in a wide array of female talent from the Bay Area. ForePlays' Monday night performances have proven to be a tremendous asset by attracting a large pool of female performers who are otherwise booked elsewhere on weekend nights. The Monday shows are also appealing to people looking for something more exciting than the regular happy hour and service industry workers hungry for alternative entertainment events happening on one of the few nights they have off.
