Punta Gorda Belize is located south of the Toledo District. The Kekchi and Mopan Maya Indians are concentrated in this area making up more than half the population. Not only is the place rich in culture but it is surrounded by the sheer beauty of the landscape.

  • Hi bro!

I have sent you a private message.

  • ilived there for 2 years loved it there still have friends there great job on the vid really miss speaking creol

  • @jassmandidgeridoo Yeah! We had some fun too. This is some old amature video that we just love, and the people in it are family who still live there. You may even know Martha, the lady in the shot. See you still live elsewhere in Belize, and those guitars you make are just something else. Great! I enjoyed your videos.

  • @Busutunu: I greatly agree! You guys lived in paradise, no matter the money, You`re happy and free of expensive bils & extremely expensive taxes. Be happy while you can, and God Bless you.

  • @Fireinthewater1111 No, they are not free of those. The majority of folks are forced to live in todays system so they have electricity bills and taxes like the rest of us. The prices are also going up beyond what people can afford like the rest of us. The people are no longer benefiting from there own land and it`s been like that for a long time. Yes the country is beautiful and the people friendly but don`t be fooled, this systems paradises are only possessed by the well off!

  • Was there in 1984, and also went down on a canoe to Barranco at the southern end near Guatamala and Honduras. Barranco was real wild then. No road in there at all.

In Punta Gorda i saw them bring in a Dew fish...God it was huge!

Also visisted Xunatunich which was amazing. Belize is like a mini Amazon. Caught an Iguana and swam in the river where crocodiles were (stupid really).

  • You`re one of the wild ones. Great stuff! I miss Belize and am overdue to visit. When I generate enough cash, I will be off ------>
