iNET "Get the Picture Competition UNC-Charlotte Video on Colonoscopy

Our video was a collaborative effort from a group of five nursing students from UNC-Charlotte. Our goal was to inform patients about the process and procedure of a colonoscopy in an entertaining and educating way. Our hope was that our video would enlighten patients about the importance of a colonoscopy. We purposefully made our video entertaining in order to show patients that a colonoscopy is not as threatening as it is usually perceived. Our group worked collaboratively to brainstorm ideas, write a song about a colonoscopy, as well as video record and edit our project. As a group, we gained knowledge about the process of a colonoscopy as well as learning the importance of educating patients in a creative manor.

Excellent video. Wish that I had something like this to watch before I had my first colonoscopy. Would have taken a lot of the mystery out of it.
