Ludwig August Lebrun (1752 - 1790) was a member of the Mannheim orchestra from 1764 until his death and was regarded as one of the leading oboists of his day. The D minor concerto dates from the mid-1770s. It shows well Lebrun's ability as a composer. My personal highlight is the 3rd movement, a lively rondo.

Heinz Holliger plays the oboe. Thomas Füri conducts the Camerata Bern.
