Painting a sheetrock patch is something every DIY'er needs to know how to do. Do you just put the finish paint over the raw sheetrock patch, for the first coat? I don't have a paint roller for painting the sheetrock patch....I'll just use a paint brush......? What difference does it make on which paint roller cover I use when painting the patch?....or does it? I don't have an extension pole....I'll just use the paint roller "by hand"......that's how I've seen them do it on tv commercials, so that should be fine.....right? Hmmm, I guess I have a few questions afterall....when it comes to painting a sheetrock wall patch. Lucky for me that I have "joe" to show me how to paint a sheetrock patch.

  • Thank you Joe! The tip re: covering the paint bush is very handy I always had that problem before.

  • @greenbutterfly101 Just make sure to push the bristles right into the plastic so there's no air bubbles. Wrap the plastic snug. Glad I could give you this tip. Good luck with your next paint project! Joe :0

  • I know this sounds a bit off-the-wall, but I think: "Spackle" is a good name for a dog...*grin*
