08.23.08 - High Rise box, 455 Hamilton St. Allentown PA

A high rise box was transmitted for 455 Hamilton St. Lehigh County Courthouse for an alarm system. Engines 4,6,14, trucks 2 & 1, battalion 3 (Scheirer) were assigned.

Battalion 3 upon arrival was informed of a possible fire on the second floor. Engine 4 first due investigated.

Construction on the site was the apparent cause of the alarm and no fire was detected.

While operating at this box, a box was transmitted for a house fire at 205 N. 28th St. in the deep west end. Battalion 3 transferred command to Captain Xander of engine company 4 and responded on the house fire.

It was a busy day for the men of AFD. Newsworking was running with the 3rd Platoon and got a real workout!
