Something a bit different this time around. It's an original song (sort of). The creation of this tune was spurred on by the "Songs Without Music" initiative started in Harmony Central's Acoustic Guitar forum. Each month or so, a poem or lyrics or similar is presented to the forum with the goal of users creating songs from said lyrics.
The inaugural edition of "Songs Without Music" kicked off with the poem "There Will Come Soft Rains" by Sara Teasdale. It's probably easy enough to see that I still can't sing all that well, but, it was fun to figure out a way (all be it simplistic) to re-imagine Teasdale's poem as a song.
On a side note, portable cameras make one lazier ;-) This video marks the 1st recording not filmed in my "guitar room" simply because I was too lazy to head over there and, since my camera is no longer tethered to my my computer, I didn't have to. Heck, I was even too lazy to record with my Masterbilt...
Anyways, here's hoping someone enjoys it... mistakes and all!

Quite a nice folky song. I noticed you've departed quite a bit from the original poem in creating the lyric especially with "get your house in order". (Perhaps a bit of Dylan "Hard Rains" influence).
I first came across the poem in the wonderful Bradbury story, though I think even that is more of a warning than Teasdale intended. She seems to be saying that humanity is an unworthy part of nature.
