The 1991 AMT USS Enterprise model filmed to recreate a few scenes from Star Trek: The Motion Picture. This is a very nice model I recently bought on e-bay to replace the same model I broke back in the mid 90's.

(Music by Jerry Goldsmith: "Leaving Dry Dock" from "Star Trek: The Motion Picture")

  • I had the original refit model from wrath of khan when new and spent like 3 months painting each tile. Then I found out how it was actually done using aztecing and i was P'OD.

  • @squirrelboyfan Wow, do you still have it?

  • @LateNightAstronomy Unfortunatley no. I had to move and had no room for my model collection so I gave them all to a friend to ship to me later. I boxed up everything and we stored it at his house, tragiclly he was killed in an accident and his family unknowingly through out all my stuff thinking it was his. So i'm slowly recreating each piece. I did keep my most valued models though. I'm going to be posting them soon as I do rebuilds.

  • @squirrelboyfan I;m sorry about your friend. Let me know when you post the rebuild pics and videos!

  • well i think its really cool great work!

  • By the way I have detailed pictures of the original studio model i can upload to my facebook page for download should anyone need them. Message me I'll put up links on my youtube channel. Photos are quality resolution.

  • good job i give it an a plus.

  • @Zarfilms2007 I set up blue card board on a wall and then filmed the Enterprise from various angles with my Canon PowerShot SX3is. After that, I put all the footage into adobe premiere elements, loaded the backgrounds in place of the blue screen and added in the lights turning on for the dry dock sequence and the planet earth, star field and sun for the departure shot.

  • how did you film this blue screen? and what type of cam very cool!
