Has nothing to do with the session.. DDOS Attacks usually don't come from any single IP Address (or so the server thinks). It sends out a shitload of false IPs and the server has to wait to timeout on each lost connection to each fake IP. No Session Trick will save you from a ddos attack. A good firewill will tho.

Your best bet of stopping a ddos attack is calling the ddoser himself and asking him to stop. :)

a normal ddos attack "chops up" the request and put it back together at the destination witch make this way of stopping ddos, not so effective...

Suppose, your bandwidth amount is 100 gB and the DDOS-ers are 20 in number. Each has 100gb bandwidth then you will be the one on the knees. The only amazing solution which DDOS-ers are afraid of is CISCO's router which filters packets by itself. No need to monitor nor look after. ; )
