To mark this occasion and to promote HIV testing, particularly instant HIV testing*, Body Positive North West (BPNW) decided to introduce the concept of the Green Ribbon as the symbol of a year long campaign to run from this World AIDS Day to the next; the 21st Anniversary on December 1st 2009.
The Red Ribbon will always be the symbol of HIV. But the Green Ribbon has been used in Botswana to promote HIV testing.
BPNW offers access to an instant HIV antibody test* that produces a result in sixty seconds.

I love your videos, but what a dubious idea. People will be using those ribbons as a way of determining who they should have unsafe sex with. Getting tested, in itself, is one, small part of it. If you have safe sex, 100% OF THE TIME, you don't need an HIV test. Gay men invented safe sex, and were very good at it, at first. But over the years, more and more of us are having unsafe sex - 2/3rds, according to a recent study. It's very disappointing.
