well yeah but this has to be one of the best chocie for an opera stroy.

You'll have to hear the premier of the Eight Songs for a Mad King featuring my late husband, Michael Rippon. I think no one else did it better than Michael. That is, from both a loving wife's point of view as well as an opera lover's point of view.

totally agree dudes! I think if this songs anything to go by, then It's understandable why I haven't heard of him! ANd 120,000 GBP I hav2c why!!! But it sounds like someone tried a little too hard... there's potential. And heck! if he can make money doing well-this-(hahahaha) then I'm going to die rich! XD

My friend, have you heard his last quartets??? Same idiom as Eight Songs for a Mad King (1969) or Missa super l'homme armé? I don't think so. I was at the premier of the Antarctica Symphony in 2005... it was just booooooring!

Can you tell me what's so terrible about his latest works? Davies' idiom hasn't change much over the last 30 years.
Wonderful! I wish I could see more! This is one of my favorite operas. It looks like it must have been an excellent production, and I like the revolving lighthouse set.
