@alongthebluff Prairie dogs bond to their owners. They are very demanding and, if they don't feel they're getting enough attention, they can become depressed and die. Sometimes the replacement of an owner can cause depression and death. Please do not buy a prairie dog unless you anticipate being able to devote a lot of time to it for the lifetime of the animal.
