@richkawaiipikachu @scenegta To clarify, I'm pretty sure I read that Hungry Jack's came from the name of the Hungry Jack pancake mix, regarldess, the history of trademarks/naming/licensing can be an interesting topic. Especially when a company you have a partnership with tries to sue you in an attempt to hold complete franchise rights and/or push you out of the market.

@scenegta Actually Hungry Jacks is Burger King here in Australia.
Just that there was a restaurant here that was selling a burger named The Burger Kink & it was already trademarked So Burger King decided to name the Australian Burger King Hungry Jacks after the Burger the Hungry Jack.
It's amazing what you can find out on Wikipedia.
