And the third WarioWare: Smooth Moves mini-game I plan to show is Balloon Trip, which works like a 3-D version of the original NES game, Balloon Fight. The objective is, in fact, the same as in the NES game: Travel as far as possible while eliminating all of the rivals along your way. There are plenty of hazards around to trip up Balloon Fighter. Making contact with one obstacle will end the game, so you need to be sharp. For every 1000 yards Balloon Fighter travels, he gets a bonus equal to that distance divided by 10, so it's best to stay defensive rather than going out of your way to defeat the other Balloon Fighters or to pop the yellow balloons.

Control here uses the Wii Remote attached to the Nunchuk. One Wii device controls one arm; the other Wii device controls the other arm. This is essentially a form of steering. The balloon keeps the man afloat. It's tough to explain. It's best if you see the video for yourself.

So...what's left after this? The tortoise-hare thing, right? (The other one is that block-stacking one, but it's way too time-consuming to show all of the stages. That's a mini-game in that it's a miniature version of a game, rather than a single activity.)

  • @phantom1053 Sigh. It was always this fish, from Balloon Fight. It originated from there.

  • The music is so calming

  • i think there was a level in the original balloon fight called balloon trip lol

  • I love this nes game but this seems like a bad idea.

  • This game was actually one of the microgames in 9-Volt and 18-Volt's part of the game, wasn't it?

  • Is that the evil fish from the Summit stage in SSBB?

And don't say it isn't because this one is red and the one in SSBB is orange.

  • While it's nice to see that Nintendo is not ignoring their old games, I don't think this game translated well into 3D

  • COOL!!!

  • This game... did not translate well to 3D
