  • That sound is priceless

  • I think this is a screw type sc, some of them tend to "whine" like a turbo. And it also sounds like it has a BOV, which is ideal if you want that beast to maintain a longer life span.

  • is this mirages?

  • @WingZero1181 i think it has two BOVs haha

  • Sounds absolutely AMAZING! The only thing that would sound better is an HPF e90 or one of these blowers on an e60 m5!

  • It's centrifugal, the reason being most likely is cause it's a pain in the ass to make a twin screw ss for cars with ITB's, pretty much all if not all of the superchargers for the M cars are centrifugal. ESS tuning made one for the e46 M3 but opted to not sell it.

  • @WingZero1181 i asked he said it was a centrifugal supercharger

  • @pagani20 now that i saw a clearer pic of it i really cant tell what type of supercharger it is because, screw superchargers are usually mounted on top of the engine and this one is mounted on the side more like a centrifugal but it does not look like a turbo like a centrifugal supercharger does. they are leaking lots of info about it though they said it would have between 470-540 rwhp and would cost 12 -15k. i asked about what type of supercharger it is ill let you know when they respond.

  • @pagani20 I'll definitely check it out! I'd personally prefer the centrifugal over screw type. Saves a lot on gas.

  • @WingZero1181 there is a pic of it on fb it looks like a centrifugal supercharger and yes it appears to have a BOV as well.

  • active autowerke usually uses a centrifugal type supercharger. also, you wouldn't hear the bypass valve on a twin screw setup. so i think its centrifugal.
