I have to ammend this description, too many 'smart ass' with internet access. The spool/gear suddenly will not re-engage after a cast. I had to manually rotate the spool to reel-in the line thus it looked like overrun. The problem is a broken spring #1127701 that dig into the frame which over time the same problem would occur again as demonstrated in part 5 of this video.

  • my revo stx drag it not working properly, the drag will be set really high and i can pull my line out easily. Does anyone no why this problem is occuring?

  • @purefishingownz either your drag washer contaminated by oil/grease or worn thread on you gear shaft.

  • Looks Like you should have not jacked the reel up. I am sure it is an easy fix. Don't use the reel wrong and they will last you for years. Cut the backlashed line off of it. Get out the instructions and take it apart. Lube it up and it should work after the drag is set correctly and your drop rate is set correctly. Don't blame the reel because your not sure how to use it.

  • @blackbass4u2c not reading description = stupid comments

  • @pukau2002 I looked at your videos and the reel doesn't look like you got it together right. Remember it's your video. You got stuff dangling. Really look at it better before you take them apart. It looks like you like taking reels apart and I'm sure it worked great before you took it apart the first time. I still think You need to break out the instructions and don't worry the reel doesn't think your stupid.

  • @blackbass4u2c Thanks for the comment. Now I know your not drunk or under drug influence. Yes, it's very untidy & I'm clumsy when I did the reel, having a faulty reel during fishing session that charge by the hour is really not keeping me 'cool'. I can & have been dismanting, servicing & reassembling without schematics Abu Garcia 1x00, 3x00, 4x00, 6x00 & most if not all revo family. If you have better info/tip to make it better please enlighten me!

  • take it apart and the big gear washer look on the bottom of it and it has a washer that is spiked flip it over it needs to catch so the reel will engage

  • @pukau2002 i dont think it a damaged thread, but it has alot of grease/oil, so i should wipe it off clean then?

  • My revo stx is holding up well and works great, but I only have used it one season. If you have a faulty reel, you can send it back to pure fishing, and they might send you a brand new one for free.

I had a revo s that felt weird when you reeled it in, so i sent it back to pure fishing and they sent me a brand new one for free.
