Others who have performed or recorded the song include Jelly Roll Morton, Lead Belly, Bo Carter, Reverend Gary Davis, Kokomo Arnold, Ricky Nelson, the Kingston Trio, Roger McGuinn, Hot Tuna, Leon Redbone, and Cat Power.
