First Videoed Age of Conan Battlekeep Raid

Sinister's battlekeep vunerability was auto set to Thursday at 6pm EST and nobody was signed up to attack us. We had no clue how this system would work so the prudent thing to do was to keep the 80's in the BK, and we were provin right.

At around 6:40 EST we got word from our spy network that LOTD and PRX-CQ was nearing the zone with some 35-40ish total members put together. This was obviously not a planned event otherwise I assume they would have showed up on time (Our keep became vunerable at 6:00). I'm guessing those two guilds just grabbed all the 80's online and wanted to have some fun and test some things out. You CAN show up un-announced and assign yourself as the attacker at any time which is very cool.

We defended the keep with inbetween 24 and toward the end 30 members of Sinister (mostly 80) and the lag was well... Bad unless you had a super computer, but better than the first siege by far because of how the fight took place. LOTD generally gathered forces and attacked at the North and PRX-CQ attacked at the gate and the opposite corner of LOTD. This resulted in most fights being roughly 15ish defenders v 20ish attackers at a time, and less lag. In the first siege i was rocking a 2-4 fps, and today it was an amazing 5-8. By the way, incase you didn't know, just the player cities themselves generate a ton of lag. A 35 man fight in any other zone wouldn't drop me below 20. Anyhow, one of our members happen to have access to the worlds fastest computer (Ren), and recorded a few battles. Ren told those pansy nuclear scientists to get steppin cause he had some AoC to play! To see the video (Once again) and a report by Bone Dancer, check out the link:

P.S. We have another siege coming up and I'll make sure the Roadrunner is frapsing the entire thing this time, the cure for AIDS can wait. I'll get you guys more reasons to keep playin AoC! Look for my post early next week for some 48v48 action!
P.S.S. I REALLY wish it was Monday after the patch (supposed to have some lag fixes in), but oh well!

P.S.S... whatever... I'd like to personally thank funcom for the announcement today. It shows that they do care about the player base, and are trying to fix the problems we encounter quickly. This and other things gives me a good deal of hope that AoC will be around for awhile

So I hear there is one server left, is this true? I used to play a bear shaman on wiccana, I quit due to bugs but have been wondering if Funcom has any plans on trying to revive this game.

@thehollyjack That's pretty fast. That's about 10 days played. In the original WoW I got to 60 in like 11-12 days played. Not sure what it was to 70.

Had a good chuckle at the commentary going into the command tower. Can't wait for the 30+ hour download for this game to finish and if it's not worth it, I'm shooting myself.

Is this game really funny in the end, i played to lvl 23 and all the quests was just run to the yellow mark on the minimap or kill 10 of these or go and speak to him. And all things was shown on minimap, not so challenging tbh. Im a wow player and i didn't fancy this game at all (Might be becouse im raiding in lvl 80 on wow). This is just what i think
