I will remember these 4 kittens - and their mom

Consider this before taking a tourist trip to Cyprus:
If your heart is sitting in the right place you might end up like my girlfriend and i: Passing out personal photos and videos to the world on YouTube in remembrance of the mistreated animals you've met there.

These four homeless kittens and their mom frequented our garden at our apartment, at our visit to Paphos in july 2007. As MANY other cats on Cyprus they are being mistreated by the locals.
two of the kittens were clearly sick with bad eye infection etc.
We contacted http://www.cyprusanimalwelfare.org/
who came and picked up the poor cats.
three of the kittens were lucky to get a new home, but the mother and the grey kitten are probably still at their welfare home with hundreds of other cats.
Please concider donating money to this cat, and hundreds of their like.
You can do this easily via VISA by visiting the link mentioned above.
And maybe...think about boycotting tourism on cyprus till the locals show a little more responsability and a little less cynicism

mY MOM AND DAD LIVED IN cYPRUS FOR 3 YEARS. THEY GOT 3 KITTENS. TWO WERE LIGHT TAN AND ONE WAS GREY. THEY ALL HAD RINGWORM WHEN THEY GOT THEM. ONE DIED WHEN THEY GOT IT, ONE DIED 3 YEARS LATER, AND ONE DIED IN 2006. I WILL ALWAYS REMEBER YOU, SOPHOCLES, ELENI, AND THIRD KITTY I WASNT BORN YET TO REMEMBER YOUR NAME.

I wish i could adopt all the cats that r home less i have 2 adult girl 6 newborn babys that im keeping ill nvr let them step in a shelter they live indoor im 14. I convinced my parents to let me keep them yayyy good thing we have the money to keep upwith shots food and all i dont like dogs im a cat person always will be .

@bartelby123 That may be true, but that doesn't mean that we should stop caring about cats and dogs. The truth is that humans think of all animals as worthless, be they pets, livestock, or wildlife, and we abuse all of them. Yes, our farm animals are tortured, but so are our pets, and neither one should have priority over the other. If you care about cows, fine. Do something to help them. Just make sure you don't stop caring about the others in the process... it's easy for people to do that.
