The Kinetic Typography animation was not created by me. I have re-edited the speech and added a different track.

Let it not be said that no one cared,
that no one objected once it's realized
that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy
- Ron Paul

Ron Paul on National IDs

The concept of national ID is a total contradiction
of what a free society is all about. The purpose of
government is to protect the secrecy and the privacy
of all individuals, not the secrecy of government.
We don't need a national ID card.

You wanna get rid of drug crime
in this country? Fine, let's just
get rid of all the drug laws

Cliches about supporting the troops are designed
to distract from failed policies, policies promoted
by powerful special interests that benefit from war,
anything to steer the discussion away from the real
reasons the war in Iraq will not end anytime soon.
- Ron Paul

In a truly free market, GM would get your money
one way and only one way. By selling you a car
that you want at a price you are willing to pay.
- Ron Paul

Ron Paul has
- never voted to raise taxes
- never voted for an unbalanced budget
- never voted to raise congressional pay
- never taken a government paid junket
- voted against the Patriot Act

- voted against regulating the Internet
- voted against the Iraq war
- never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership
- never voted to increase the power of the executive branch

  • I like him. But Ron Paul can't make it, unfortunately. If the majority are idiots then you have to be consistent with idiot's idiology. Even if you are rational and smart you still have to act stupid in agreement with the idiots in order to get votes. Straight forward never made it. Look at Jesus, Buddha or dalai lama etc. The vicious wins.

  • @luv2differ You have a point there. I also like him, but I am unsure as well as to what he is really able to do. The population has to get informed and take action, not just vote for Ron Paul and hope for a miracle. In the case that your elected politician is not able to do what you need him to do you are right back where you started. I think in the end masses of people will be needed to say no more and shut down the government.

  • @televisionforfree, you still think you can make a difference at the ballot box? The sheeple don't have an option other than D.bag or T.sandwich. Things worked as long as they did. People worked hard until 80s. After that, we didn't settle at excessive industrialization but went toward robotization. Now we wonder where the jobs are. Shutting the government? It's too late.

  • Dear Youtube,

FUCK YOU for removing half of ron paul's videos. Fucking jerks. You Can't stop us now.

    Ron Paul 2012

  • Have hope guys! Ron Paul will succeed. And success is not necessarily the presidency. Ya see, he is fighting a war of IDEAS. Ideas matter! It is the philosophy that matters! He will have his "fire stolen". But , that means he will change the debate for the better. And dramatically so!! He may win, or may not, but all the other candidates will be forced to deal with the uncomfortable truths he brings up! And that is what has already happened since the 2008 election!

    PEACE!

  • Throwing a classic Chemical Brothers song in there. Just made my day

  • Hey there. I would like to counter the idea the Ron Paul can't get elected. You have in the affairs of the right now a disenfranchised and angry public combined with a two party system that has a knack for not taking care of the people they represent. Sounds like the perfect time for a paradigm shift and a third party to come into existence. Enough people just need to realize that they shouldn't vote for the lesser of two evils and vote for who they want. That would get Ron Paul elected.

  • @999Atwood Big business will not donate because they know they cannot control RON PAUL. What we need to do is concentrate on individuals who will vote for RON PAUL because they want to put our country back on track where we have more jobs, more liberty, much less government restrictions, etc. They need to be taught that this can be a much better place without all big government tyranny we have now.

  • @momsenior1 Yes, it is obvious that Rick Perry is the new golden boy the media is trying to sell us. I guess I always knew the media pushes the agenda but I guess I'm even shocked (this time) how it has totally shut out Ron & pumped Rick up way beyond anything he deserves.

  • @999Atwood No doubt about it! This 'twit' Rick Perry is a jerk from "Jerkville'" who could only make c's & d's at Texas A&M!! He talks from both sides of his mouth and definitely has all kinds of strings attached. He is nothing more than a white Obama! His old Democrat characteristics are bloomin' ...... 'Bloomin; Idiot'! I know the wealthy and the big corporations have him in their pockets and they will back him as long as he is running. What we need is the backing of We The People.

  • @MegaConcernedcitizen I will love to visit New Hampshire, maybe one day I will bring my family to live there. For now, I am trying to awaken the people of Australia.

  • @momsenior1 The man is almost a shock to the conditioned mind, he makes so much sense. If he does not make it into the White House this time I feel we are doomed.

  • @999Atwood Oh I believe he would take more precautions than Kennedy (JFK). His refusal to have a bullet proof glass shield over the car was very foolish and cost him his life. I hope and pray that RON PAUL is elected president as I would really love to see this country at least get back on the right track while I am still around to enjoy it! (Oh I don't mind saying I am 68)! I have voted for Dr Paul ever since his first run as a Libertarian back in 1988!

  • @nikolayzou If only we had 20 or 30 million immigrants such as you! The immigrants we have here currently are Mexicans and or Muslims. The twenty million illegal Mexican immigrants are hoping for Obama's instant amnesty to make them legal. The biggest problem is most of them are convicts, and or on public assistance and actually get more from the government than lifelong citizens such as myself who worked and paid into the system most of my life.

  • If you really think no one will vote for him because he is right and makes perfect sense,. then you are merely another idiot! Vote for him to save our country! You can be a hero just by voting for RON PAUL!!
