Leonard Peikoff - Rand's nominated successor - has stated that the Ayn Rand philosophy is a closed system and not open to debate.
-
No, he means that being compassionate should not be the main priority of existence,it should be completely voluntary, not guilt imposed self sacrifice to a higher cause, that defeats the purpose of existing..

She's telling people to think for themselves not telling them what to think. Also how much power do you think she could have got being Russian in the united states?
-
this guy is the beezs knees

if you really seek your self interest it is better to try take a position of power in the government or a state agency instead of going around preaching BS to people on how they should live... if this russian lady really believed in what she was saying why even bother telling people what to think??? lame philosophy. Back to school

wow- and do u even know ayn rand's philosophy? funny u should condemn it when u dont even know what the fuck it is in the first place.

Following someone does not mean you are mindless, and sheep like. that is just your ego trying to tell you your special, and brave.
I follow Alexander the great because like him, not because he entrances me to mimic him. There is a difference between following, and leaching.
And Rand had a very good philosophy, but that philosophy is outdated now that we know more about the brain.
-
metaphysics is the lowest form of philosophy - nothing but a circle jerk of bullshit.

I love how you struggle not to laugh throughout these videos.

You responded to a guy who said:
"None of us has a stable identity"
"All of us are suffering"
Nathaniel Branden has responded Erich Fromm who has raised similar arguemtns in the following manner:
"Speak for yourself, Brother!"
