No, you can't really take a chimp out to lunch, but you can help to make sure the chimps have healthy, balanced and flavorful meals every day.
All of the chimps eat three meals per day of fresh fruits and vegetables. Each meal is three "courses", such as a banana, a grapefruit and an ear of corn, as well as "monkey chow"; a nutrionally complete commercial primate diet.




Variety is the spice of life, so the menu changes daily. A week of meals for the chimps might include bananas, apples, oranges, tomatoes, carrots, grapefruit, cucumbers, peppers, corn, yams, celery, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, oatmeal, and pasta, as well as the monkey chow.




Feeding over 250 chimps translates into approximately 1925 lbs of apples, 2520 lbs of bananas, 840 lbs of oranges, 980 lbs of tomatoes and so on, per week - for an annual food bill of over $450,000 per year.
