  • This is a pretty different approach to the character. I meant to have this version of Superman still finding his footing as a hero. Maybe a bit less mature than we're used to but then growing as the film goes on until we see him react in true crisis at the end of the film with the kind of selfless heroism we'd expect of Superman. That progression isn't as evident in the film as we had to edit the script pretty heavily. Sorry it didn't work for you, but that was the idea.

  • Who's the actor for Superman?

  • His name is Gus Peterson. Very talented guy and a natural comic. I liked the more human aspect he brought to the role and I think he did a great job.

  • i went to see part 12

  • Hi - thanks so much for checking it out. Youtube has taken down a bunch of the film for copyright reasons. I'm looking into alternatives now. Sorry to leave you hanging.

  • i am sorry but this is so wrong - i mean -

for example - Superman doesn't lay on the door frame like some kind of a worn out exhausted no one - he is Superman! he stands tall and pround even when the sitution is at his worst and he is the weakest and tirdest.

Superman here doesn't look very super.

  • You are right on. He was actually in the script more, so you could see his relationship with Clark develop, but the film had to be shortened when our Superman had to drop out about half way through the movie. We couldn't even manage to get them scheduled to film on the same day for Jimmy's death scene, so the viewer doesn't get to see Jimmy die in Superman's arms, as Superman later states happened (actually filmed before the death scene). Good catch on your part - it's a problem.

  • I wish you had developed Jimmy a tad bit more so the viewer may have more concern about him. However, his death provides great characterization for the Daily Planet staff.
