Hey guys!
I took Ollie to a show this past weekend and he was wonderful! We are really starting to figure each other out.
The first clip is the table II jumpers that we did for schooling at 3'6"... well i guess tech. 3'5" but close enough! haha that was our first time doing that big.
The next day we did the big eq. the 2nd clip is the Pessoa Hunt Seat Medal and the 3rd round is the Maclay. I screwed up the Pessoa Medal with the change and then the spook at the end... but I was happy with it for our first time doing it. Then the Maclay was great... still little issues that we need to work out but much better. All the flat clips are the flat phase of the Maclay. Also on the falt we were asked to show two simple changes of lead. That why you see me counter canter and then change back... and I was smiling at the end because the steward was joking around and we were all laughing.
We ended up third for in our first Maclay Class!! I was so happy... he is such a good boy!

P.S. sorry the music stops randomly... it picks back up after that clip so idk. But i guess you get to listen to both my friend and my trainer talk to me as i go around. It is funny how people do that even though they know you can't hear them!

Well I hope you all enjoy and tell me what you think... no crtiques though it was our first time remember :)

  • big eq? awesome. gorgeous horse.

  • @mmontgomery14 haha yes he is really just a weird horse in general! he is funny tho, but thanks!

  • @mmontgomery14 Thanks for the advice but this video is from more than a year ago now. He is much calmer now, but stronger bits (such as the elevator bit) make him worse. He panics when he has a harsh bit in his mouth, we actually ride him in a double jointed snaffle now and that is what he goes best in.

  • Wow.. those fences look massive O.O

    Amazing riding!

  • @Phoenix345 Thank you! He can be sometimes but he is also very lazy sometimes. But we use a Pelham at shows and we school in just a plain snaffle.

  • very lovely horse.. he looks very strong in the mouth, what bit do you use on him?

  • i agree with karen :)
