The movie doesn't have to make any sense. It revels in the unkown realms of artistic cinema. It doesn't follow a conventional narrative. Nor characters for that matter. But that doesn't mean it should be rejected or refused. Two stoned guys travelling throughout the hyped locations of the US without any reason only to get wasted. That's art. That said there may still be some sort of parallel understanding between the themes, characters and counter-culture that they wane into
