The Wee Blinky is an easy DIY electronics kit that flashes two LEDs. With a simple modification, it can also flash the incandescent bulbs of model railroad crossing lights. Just omit the LEDs and two of the resistors (R1 & R4) and connect the common wire (black) from each sign to anode (square pad) of the Wee Blinky PCB. Connect one red wire from each lamp to the pad where R1 would have gone (near the middle of the PCB) and connect the other red wires to the pad where R4 would have been. That's all there is to it! Now you've got flashing red warning lights for your model train as well as having a couple of LEDs and resistors for some other mischief. Enjoy!
