chris says these things so he can set goals for himself and the band. they arent splitting up. if they didnt have goals to set for themselves they wouldnt be where they are today. im not just saying this specifically to you but people need to read articles and find legitamit reasoning to things before they try and back up their answers.

when chris turns 33, they will stop playing. He and the others want to live a life with their families, which i think is good.

Still, i think they all will keep playing on charity festivals, and oi have no doubt about that they will keep on writing material for other artists ( since chris writes a lot for hip-hop artists and such ). Coldplay won't die just because the band stops playing for a few years. Chris is 31 today so go to as many concerts as possible before it's to late.CP-in-my-hear.
