Because the fans are asking for it. Here is some raw footage I shot tonight while playing with Rachel out on the deck.

In this clip Rachel will say...
"Ohhhh"
"Hi"
"Ahhhh", "Ohhhh" (Swinging from branch)

3:01 :05 "Whatcho Doin?"
3:10 "Hi Sweetheart"
3:12 "Whatcho Doin?, Hey!"
3:21 :24 "Hi, How are you?"
3:27 "Hi Beaky"
3:34 "Whatcha Doing?"
4:20 :26 :30 "Hi"
4:34 "How are you?"

  • are those wings clipped?

  • She has her wings clipped. If she would take flight her range is limited. I trust my relationship with her to know that she is ok. I would not recommend anyone else taking their bird outside unless they are experienced with knowing their bird and their potential for flight.

  • I love "Hi Beaky". ROFL

I just might name one of my new macaw babies that! Too cute. lol

  • That would be cool! Let me know if you indeed do. My Mom calls Rachel "Beaks" and well Rachel has a ton of nicknames... Beaker, Gomer Beak, Buzzard Beak, Beakasaurus, Big Birdy, Little Birdy, RachelBird, Beakus, BeakusMacaw, SquawkBox, ChickenBeak, Chicken... I'm sure I'm missing a few.

  • are you not afriad that she'll fly away

    (Sorry for mu bad english)

  • She has her wings clipped and can not get very good up flight.

  • Great video :D

She's such a drama queen when it comes to that branch(?) lolz

  • Rachel is too cute. Aren't you afraid she will fly off? Do you keep her wings clipped? I have a sun conure and I would be afraid to let him outside like that. He hasn't started talking yet. He will copy the dogs sound crying sometime. Any suggestions on how to get him talking. I talk to him all the time and play with him a good bit.

  • that is the happiest bird......because of the owner

  • are you selling them if yes contact 07745327409 price £200 to £250

  • You may have her already trained for recall but with wings clipped, you should look into this in getting that done if not. Then short flights for a while to build up muscle tone. Chris Biro does some great work with macaws in Freeflight. User: Chrisbiro1

  • My families looking into getting a macaw soon, my mom had one when she was little and i hear they're Great pets. where did you purchase yours and how old was it when you got it?

    thanks.

  • Macaw is the easiest to be trained to free fly in all parrot species. I know it is risky but it is the ultimate level in having a parrot as part of the family. By the way have you been to libertywings website?

  • @IthacaJason At the risk of seeming ostentatious it would seem that her outer flight feathers are not trimmed. Macaws need only 4 flight feathers (not necessarily 2 on each wing) to fly. Just saying be careful with your baby.

  • gorgeous , i have an african grey and i will get a macaw in the near future ..

  • you think so? If something startles your bird,it's not gonna think before it flys off of you.
