Gibson County Pioneer Band won 1st place Class AAA Band at the 2011 Skyhawk Marching Band Invitational, at the UT Martin campus. The Gibson County Pioneer Band is directed by Jeremy Tate, Eric Waldon, and Calyn Evans. Field Commanders are Mary Beth Chandler and Frankie Hall. The show is called "Never Forget" and features "New York, New York", "New York State Of Mind", "As All the Heavens Were A Bell", "On a Hymn Song of Phillip Bliss", "Patriotic Medley", and "You Will Never Walk Alone". This was filmed for the TV Show "Bands of West Tennessee.
