This evening, I visited the new Whitelee Wind Farm to coincide with its official opening. There are 140 turbines which ranks Whitelee as largest windfarm in Europe.Another 36 turbines are to built which will increase generating capacity from 322 MW to 452 MW, enough to power 250,000 homes.
@Peter5930 Actually, if you do your research you'll find wind isn't tbetter, its the most inefficient; the average output from of Whitelee last year was just 19%, unreliable and its also the second most expensive form too. Amazingly quiet? From what distance, 2 km, 3km away? If not, then you must be deaf! You can hear the variation in sound (AM) swish and thump of the blades inside houses over a kilometer away from the turbines. You'd complain too, if you knew facts.

@caribousteaks Would you like a nice big coal-fired or nuclear power station instead? I quite like having electricity, and wind is one of the better ways to get it, especially in Scotland where we have an abundance of the stuff. I see those turbines when I walk my dog, and I've never once been bothered by the sight of them. They're also amazingly quiet.

problem with this place is the fake types of conservationists, idiots that just like to carve up nature with noise-polluting machinery that also kills off aetheric energy and chases nature spirits away, got their hands on the 'conservation' bit,
so what they did was - destroy existing woodland, to plant a moor.
nothing wrong with planting moors - but there's tonnes of places they can do that without removing any other plants.
they're really evil,
& so are the cunts that kept Hess locked up
