  • I must confess I find Sospiri more moving, but this is nonetheless a lovely piece.

  • @cymart1 absolutely agree with you.

  • Elgar has way of of reaching peoples emotions in his quieter music which is nostalgic but also melancholy in a very personal and intimate way, like memories of those we love who are no longer with us?I sometimes find his music almost painful to listen to,especially the second movement of his violin concerto and much of the cello concerto...

  • one of the most beautiful but melancholy pieces of music I have heard.

Elgar must rate along with the other two masters: Ralph Vaughn Williams and Heitor Villa-Lobos

  • sunlight reflecting from the leaves

  • goodbye england, my old homeland.

  • I'm in tears as to the beauty...

  • One of Elgars most thoughful ,sorrowful, outpourings ,just lovely and so touching i see him sitting in his garden in the summer ,his small dogs playing near him, musing on life.thx

  • A great video to accompany a great piece of music.

    Thank you for posting.:)
