A social justice book talk done for my language arts class. It features the book "Lily and the Paper Man" written by Rebecca Upjohn and illustrated by Renne Benoit. (Published by Second Story Press)
The book itself beautifully illustrates a child, Lily, who struggles as she begins to understand the complexities involved in this have & have-not relationship she observes every time she passes the Paper Man.
Background music is composed by George Winston, borrowed from his Album: December 1982, tracks:
1) Thanksgiving
2) Joy
