The Sapphire HD5850 Xtreme is a low-cost and powerful DX11 option. The Sapphire HD5850 Xtreme uses an original cooler design that is significantly quieter and cooler than the loud blower-style fan used on stock HD5850 designs. The Sapphire HD5850 has 1440 stream processors and 72 texture units with 1GB of GDDR5 memory, able to handle even the latest DirectX11 games. Although the HD5850 Xtreme edition comes with one less DVI port and one less CrossFireX connector, it is priced below $150 USD, offering huge savings compared to regular HD5850 video cards while out-performing an NVIDIA card at the same price range.

I got this card because I saw a review showing the hd5850 xtreme with the power plugs at the end, but to my horror the one i got has them on top so my cube case had a appointment with the hacksaw, If I had of known I would have got the HD6950, and just a warning if you have unlocked a previous ATI card on your computer it instantly unlocks the new card voiding your warranty. Kind of pist me off I wish Nvidia were reliable, Ati have fucked me around enough to lose me.

I have this card. It benchmarks very close to the 6870 at stock and beats it in every game when both are overclocked (5850 @970mhz, 6870@1000mhz) Which is amazing considering how much more the 6870 costs.
