  • does Na3AlO3 have ne other names? wat can it be used for plz reply if u know

  • nah i cant think of any uses

umm other names could be aluminate of sodium

if you find any uses though please tell me would be interested if i had a use for it :)

  • @mrdan4 what would you say the products will be if you neutralize the reaction with acetic acid? I'm getting aluminium acetate + sodium acetate would be 2 of them. I just tried this reaction and it went a bit out of control so I neutralized with vinegar and diluted with water and I was left with a jar of water with silver foam floating on top of it.

  • @BogMonkey53 ummm i cant say i have ever had to neutralize the reactrion so i dont know i will give it a try and test the mix left. in theory sodium acetate does sound right as if you had neutralized it with hydrochloric acid you would have sodium chloride. but i dont know if the aluminium would effect the end result. the silver foam should be aluminium from the reaction.

  • nice song.....what is this song???

  • chemical bunshel burner hmm

  • @keegan47401 The liquid you have is the hydroxide dissolved in water so yeh it is basically the same but the strenght of the solution will be different depending on how much hydroxide is in the solution. if its a cleaning or drain unblocker product it may have soap or other chemicals added

  • With the water you added, I believe the reaction actually produces NaAlO2. I haven't actually found a definite answer though.

  • The correct name is sodium tetrahydroxoaluminate Na[Al(OH)4]

  • Really? Because a Google search returns only 1 result. This page, with that name!

    =)

  • Its correct name is "sodium tetraksyaluminate".

  • hydrogen gas <3
