Sex Offender Halloween Hype

dude I think that's stupid. What if you were arrested for having sex with a girl who pleaded rape afterwards; than found guilty of being thus making you a sex offender. So i don't understand why they couldn't celebrate Halloween. I can see child molesters but come on.

Then lets put Mother Nature on a Registry, then she cant perform her Natural Disasters !! I'd like to know where the heck OSHA is. You'd be lucky to not break your neck trying to get around in an unsafe unlit area, even if it's your own home. The lights out part should be totally illegal and probably is. Like I said, where's OSHA and why aren't they doing their job to make living conditions safe.

ApparitionZ , u are correct,,,There are alot of Unconvicted and Unregistered sex offenders out there,,,People should be careful of ALL Strangers....wait,,90 % of Child molestation is committed by family members or someone else the child knows. Dang..I wish we had a Crystal ball thatd tell us who is dangerous and who is not!!! People ,,think,,,even Convicted and Registered offenders werent on any Registry when they committed their first Crime!!!!

No prior record. Your comment proves even more what the Department Of Justice states - that over 90% of sexual abuse is committed by people who are not on the registry. But on Halloween, there isn't one documented case of a sex offender abducting a trick-or-treater. Overblown? You bet.

Was he a registered sex offender? So one crime back in '73 justifies violating the civil rights of thousands who had nothing to do with that crime? You are picking at straws.

OK, one tragic case way back in '73, and was it from a registered sex offender? Thousands of others who had nothing to do with that one tragedy do not deserve ostracizing. Factual data shows that most sex offenders do not re-offend, especially those whose crimes were non-violent (i.e. teens who had consensual sex with other teens). They are hardly "predators".
