Only a few images of this loveliest of performers during her Academy Award winning career: Jennifer Jones, born Phylis Lee Isley, in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1919. The "Velvet Fog," aka, Mel Tormé, sings here, a beautifully fitting tribute to the haunting Ms. Jones! Superb accompaniment on the piano by Mr. George Shearing

  • Jennifer Jones AND Mel Torme?

    AWESOME!!!

    Thanks for posting.:)

  • @TheReturnOfStephan1 Jennifer Jones was absolutely beautiful. Mel Torme is one of the finest jazz singers who ever lived. His voice is velvet. Thanks varadero for sharing this beautiful tribute by a great singer to a beautiful lady. Thanks Stephan1 once again, you hit it out of the park.

  • @paytonfit Thanks paytonfit for your gracious comments on these two! Ms. Jones was a superb actress, and Mr. Torme a unique singing legend. I'm grateful to you for your comment and, as always, to wonderful Stephan 1 for his initial commendation!

  • @TheReturnOfStephan1 I'm so grateful to hear from you! Your messages and support are so welcome! I never know how a "pairing" might end, but feel this is one that made the utmost of sense. They were, for different reasons, kind of interplanetary, maybe pushing celestial!

  • @varadero1839 Please add Mr. Shearing's name to the title.

    His contribution is phenomenal!

  • @TheReturnOfStephan1 Only when you've a free moment, please view the title! Thanks for the notice! It's wonderful knowing that THE "arbiter" of good taste, may also be the angel on your shoulder! I'm lucky that they are, in this case, identical beings! Thanks so much!
