I'm a mid-30 guy started learning guitar twenty one weeks ago. I don't have time to go to see a teacher, so, I thought recording and showing to other people may encourage myself. I know it's not good, so, don't remind me that ;) But you are feel free to laugh at the movie. More at my blog (http://mid30guitar.blogspot.com/ )

It's one of the longest song I ever played. I still have a problem silencing a string when I don't want to mix up sounds...

    Hi There,

I hope my video help you to increase your confidence level ;) Good luck!!

  • so you improved! but where are your next vids? nice bunny:D

You know i've been playing guitar for one year and i play for example Antoine Dufour's Memories of The Future, I call it intermediate song. Probably the main thing is that i'm kind of child (16). But you are pretty good for your age. Now try to learn chords and you will be very very good.

  • Thanks for your second comment! Yeah, I like this bunny too ;) It's better to pick up music instruments when you are young (just take my word for it). But as many others say, it's never too late. I know I would have progressed much quicker if I started earlier in my age, but I'm still having fun!

Next video may come in a month or so. I got sick for a while and I couldn't practice for more than 3 month. (Not serious though, I just got sick several times in a row. I feel better now.)

    Later :)

  • wow u are a brave man, to start stg new at your age. congratulations, and just keep on practicing and i'm sure, u will have lots of fun. just take it easy and do it for your own pleasure.

but if i can give u and advice... your own voice is your number one instrument: start with training that, or it is even better to learn to accompany yourself and sing these songs (even if you think you suck in singing.. :)). thet is where it starts to be real music, AND real fun :P

    keep it up man! ;)

  • Thanks for your comment!!

I haven't uploaded a new one for a while because I got a series of sickness and now I have to move. But now I feel much better and once I finish moving and such, I'll come up with something.

Voice, huh. I'm not a good singer, but I see your point. I'll think about that.

  • Hi there,

    Thank you for your comment.

I like these books as well. I'm interested in folk or soft rock music, so, I think these books fit me very well for now. But as you suggested, I will probably get some other book later on.

    Cheers!

  • i love these books!

i'm on book 3 right now

    i'm 14

the books tell you preety much everything you need to know to get started but if youre like me and wanna play stuff like metal you'll need to keep buying other books
